Produces graphic sketches, designs, and copy layouts for online content. Determines size and arrangement of illustrative material and copy, selects style and size of type, and arranges layout based upon available space, knowledge of layout principles, and aesthetic design concepts. May require an associate's degree or its equivalent and at least 3 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Practical knowledge of website optimization and ability to manage a vast range of websites. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of complicated tasks. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
Job Responsibilities:
- Translate design concepts to code
- Maintain and optimize existing websites
- Search engine optimization, to include pay-per-click campaigns
- Implement flash components
- Optimize navigation according to current usability standards
- Social and online media application knowledge
- Stay current with technology changes/updates
- Gather visitor data and demos to compile a list for more accurate targeting of clients’ objectives
- Maintain and enhance c.a.k. website, to include: news function, SEO, portfolio, service offerings
Technical Skills:
- XHTML
- CSS
- Illustrator/InDesign/PhotoShop/Fireworks
- Development in a Microsoft Windows platform environment is a must
- PHP

- DHTML
