About the Event

AIGA Austin is happy to announce James Victore's arrival to Austin to promote his latest book- Victore or, Who Died and Made You Boss? (Abrams; September 2010) Come join us at Frank for an exclusive lunch with James Victore. This is a custom dog, folks … no scripts. Just plan on arriving at noon and find out where the conversation goes. This is a 15 person capacity lunch. Don't fret if you are unable to grab a dog with James in the afternoon … just RSVP for the lecture at HRC later that evening.

The fee covers your lunch at Frank, a copy of the book, and admission to that evening's lecture at the Harry Ransom Center.

James Victore is an American independent graphic designer whose clients include Moët & Chandon, Target, Amnesty International, the Shakespeare Project, The New York Times, MTV, the Lower East Side Tenement Museum and Portfolio Center. He has been awarded an Emmy for television animation, a Gold Medal from the Broadcast Designers Association, the Grand Prix from the Brno Biennele (Czech Republic) and Gold and Silver Medals from the New York Art Director’s Club. Victore’s posters are in the permanent collections of the Palais du Louvre, the Library of Congress and the Museum für Gestaltung among others.
